The day we’d planned for Jessica and John’s engagement session last winter up in Qualicum Beach turned out to be beyond rainy, but these two were such troopers and made the best of the torrential rain and we ended up having a lot of fun! Still, I think we were all really happy when their wedding day decided to be super sunny and beautiful! The day began in Sidney at the Pier Hotel where the ladies were getting ready for the big day. These two had gifted each other such thoughtful and sweet wedding presents–I think we were all tearing up in the room when Jessica was opening her gift! This was followed by a first look at a beautiful garden park where John had been waiting to see Jessica. Afterwards, the whole wedding party piled into a limo and we headed to Elk Lake for a few more photos before the ceremony began on the beach in front of the Beach House in Cordova Bay. Jessica and John both share a love of Disney and Disneyland and so it was only fitting for them to have some elements of Disney incorporated into their wedding day. There were adorable quotes paired with Disney images on each of the tables for the reception and the highlight for me was when we made a magical, Disney-inspired night-time photo on the beach after the sun had set.The evening continued with plenty of dancing and fun had by all.
