A connection to photography runs in my family—my Opa passed it along to my mum, who in turn handed it to me. My Mum always took the time to point out poignant details throughout my childhood and this, paired with my background in photojournalism, has helped train my eye to constantly look for beautiful light and meaningful moments.
I’ve been horse crazy since the age of three and I’ve worked hard to keep horses a part of my life. Zappa, my sweet grey Thoroughbred, will be with me forever. He enjoys cross country jumping, rolling in the mud and long naps in the sun.
A good cup of coffee with a side of dark chocolate and snuggles with my daughters make my mornings complete. We share our home with Kieffer, my rescue dog from Belize, who has abnormally large ears and a personality to match. He’s 11 1/2 years old and is still regularly mistaken for a puppy on account of his bounciness and extreme excitability.
I have the most supportive husband, Bryan, who never complains when I ask him to pull the car over because the light is just right and I need to jump out and snap a quick photo.
