Erica and Arun were married back in January 2016 (I know, I know, so behind with blogging!) but I’m bound and determined to catch up and this wedding was so special to me it needs to be featured. Erica and Arun held their wedding at the Azul Fives Resort in beautiful Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The advantage of being at the resort for the full week was we had plenty of opportunities for some extra photo ops which you’ll see included in this blog. There was a welcome dinner for all the guests, and then a traditional ceremony with Arun’s family before the wedding day and I stole the couple a few times for some fun shots such as the one in the bar with the really funky wall back drop. The resort is absolutely stunning and the weather was fantastic–until the wedding day when thunder clouds rolled in right as the ceremony was getting under way on the sky wedding deck. Thankfully, the clouds continued on their way and only let a few raindrops fall! Erica’s 92-year-old Grandpa joined up with Erica and her dad and helped walk her the last way down the aisle which was a really special moment during the ceremony.

 

We had such a fun time touring the resort for photos after the ceremony–there are so many fantastic back drops at this resort! From the black and white wall that I spotted and fell in love with on the first day of the trip, to the long dock on the water front, to the perfectly tended tropical gardens. Erica did a quick outfit change into her lovely sari for the evening festivities beginning with dinner. The food all week was beyond delicious and the wedding day meal did not disappoint. The evening finished off with speeches and dancing and then I stole Erica and Arun for a few night time shots.

 

It was a wedding and a week I will never forget. Thank you Erica and Arun for including me in your wedding and making me feel so welcome! Congratulations again!
