It was on Canada Day last year when Krista and Rob tied the knot at the magical Starling Lane Vineyard in Victoria, BC. While the morning began with a bit of rain the skies cleared for the ceremony–leaving everything looking so lush and green. This was my first wedding at Starling Lane and I couldn’t get over all the amazing backdrops–everywhere you turn there is another pretty location. Krista and Rob chose to do a first look in the garden before their friends and family arrived for the ceremony. Their lovely pup Milo was also in attendance and did a fantastic job posing for the photo ops. My favourite moment was Rob’s fist pump when walking down the aisle after the ceremony. He and Krista are both beaming and I feel that image sums up their wedding day perfectly.
The evening festivities were held at the Beach House Restaurant and we had a chance for some more photos down on the beach before the dinner began. Rob is a farrier (blacksmith who works on horses) and he pulled out all the stops for the garter toss, surprising his new bride by donning his work chaps and a cowboy hat and setting to work pulling her garter off in a display that had everyone laughing!
Congratulations again Krista and Rob!
